Felix is a swing dance instructor, performer, choreographer based in Stockholm, Sweden. Like many other swedish dancers he started in the swedish competition scene, at the tender age of nine, with bugg as his main style. One year later he took his first basic six count step in Boogie Woogie and has since then never stopped syncopating.
He first visited Herrang Dance Camp in Sweden when he was 16... That's when he fell in love with the African American social dances of the swing era such as Lindy hop, Vernacular Jazz, Charleston and Tap. Since then, he has both tried to inspire others while learning everything he can about the dance, music and teaching of this culture. He is a strong believer in the freedom inherent to the authentic style of these dances and the connection you create with your partner and the music, he also sees swing dancing as a way to bring people together to experience happiness in their life. Why? Because when he dances that’s is all he can think about and express. Pure happiness! These days, he spends much of his time travelling the world doing his best to spread this feeling and these beliefs wherever he goes.
Egle Regelskis is one of the leading Lindy Hop teachers in Lithuania, and a serious up-and-comer on the international scene. She is also a leader and influencer when it comes to helping new Lithuanian swing dance talents emerge as she and her business partner have opened Hoppers’ dance studio in Vilnius. There they help their scene thrive by putting on events and classes.
Dancing was always in her blood: She first tried Ballroom and Folk dances, but it was when she found the family of Swing dances that she knew she had found what she was looking for! Egle believes that dancing is something that helps people conquer their fears and truly connects them to who they really are. She likes to say: "The way we are is the way we dance, magic happens when we step out of our comfort zone thereby accepting ourselves with all our weaknesses and strengths". And she can walk the walk, you just watch what happens as soon as she hears a good song, no matter if it is swing, salsa, funk, soul, hip-hop or house... Egle starts dancing, because she just loves good music! She also believes that if one can walk one can dance, everything else depends on passion and willingness to work.
